IBM Cloud Solution Advisor Practice Exam

The primary user of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is typically the System Administrator. This role is crucial in managing and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that IaaS provides, including virtual machines, networking, and storage resources. System Administrators are responsible for the configuration, deployment, and monitoring of these resources, ensuring that the infrastructure is secure, efficient, and operating correctly.

They also play a key role in managing the scaling of resources to meet demand, provisioning new resources as needed, and applying updates and patches to the infrastructure. The access and capabilities provided by IaaS empower System Administrators to control the physical aspects of cloud infrastructure without being burdened by hardware limitations, allowing for greater flexibility and efficiency in resource management.

Other roles, such as Application Developers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts, engage with IaaS within their specific contexts (like developing applications, analyzing data, or making business decisions), but it is through the expertise of System Administrators that the IaaS platform is effectively utilized and maintained.
